Service Description

In Victoria, it is a legal requirement for property owners with a swimming pool or spa to maintain a compliant safety barrier and obtain a compliance certificate every four years, as outlined in the Victorian Building Regulations 2018. At Oz Building & Pest Inspections, we are qualified to carry out Pool and Spa Barrier Compliance Inspections to help ensure your pool area meets all safety requirements. Our inspection includes a detailed assessment of the following: - Barrier height and spacing - Gate self-closing and self-latching mechanisms - Gaps under and between fencing components - Boundary fences forming part of the barrier - Windows, doors, and climbable objects near the barrier - Surface levels and non-climbable zones - General compliance with AS1926.1 standards (as applicable) We provide clear, easy-to-understand reporting with either: - A Form 23 Compliance Certificate, issued when the barrier meets all requirements - A Non-Compliance Report with recommendations and a follow-up process for reinspection If rectification work is needed, we allow a reasonable timeframe for improvements and can re-inspect upon request. Our goal is to help you achieve compliance with confidence not just meet the standards, but keep your family and visitors safe.
